Microchannel coils have become a mainstay in the air conditioning industry for over a decade. As a cheaper material, aluminum coils help keep costs down while reducing the refrigerant footprint. Although OEM MCHX coils offer savings up-front, there are many common issues, including leaks and clogging, that prove problematic and costly long-term.
Converting to a copper tube, aluminum fin coil is a cost-effective way to address the issues that are inherent in microchannel coils.
